how will it work?

Due to COVID-19, changes have been made to this event to allow for safe social distancing, and face coverings will still be required on campus.

Recipients and their guests will arrive at ANY TIME during their designated time slot. Here, you will check in with our friendly Alumni Relations staff, enter the Performing Arts Center’s auditorium, and receive your Islander Ring on-stage. To make the moment official, we'll have a photo opportunity of you with your ring. Then, your group will proceed outside to take part in the Islander Ring Wish and celebrate the occasion will multiple designated photo locations. Though the current social environment doesn't allow us to have a traditional ceremony, we know this will be a special memory for you and your guests!

DETAILS & REMINDERS

DRESS & ATTIRE

Though there is no formal ceremony, we recommend business attire. Suits or jackets for men. Ties are suggested, but not required. Women should be in a skirt, slacks, or dress of appropriate length.

LOCATION

Recipients and all of their guests should arrive together, at the Performing Arts Center, WITHIN your allotted 45 minute window. Due to facility limitations, we're unable to accommodate late or early arrivals.

MASKS REQUIRED

Per University policy, face coverings are still required by all attendees, including both recipients and their guests. For more information, please click here.

WHAT TO BRING

All recipients are REQUIRED to bring one form of photo ID. No exceptions. This is to ensure proper and correct ring distribution to our recipients.

Accommodations have been made to allow families to safely socially distance from one another. All attendees should follow signage, and direction from staff.
