ISLANDER RING CEREMONY
Islander Ring Ceremonies scheduled for April 4, 2020 are canceled.
Our Islander Ring Ceremonies are a cherished tradition for our University and we understand all of the hard work and time you have committed to your studies in order to participate in this special occasion. Receiving a class ring is not only a once-in-a-lifetime moment that signifies the accomplishment of our graduating Islanders, but the class ring itself is a commemorative symbol of your induction into our Islander Forever family.
Currently, our mission is to guarantee all students receive their rings. Once we have completed that mission, and once it is safe to do so, we hope that you will participate in a future Ring Ceremony at a later date.
Rings will be mailed to your permanent home address. In order to have your ring mailed to your home address this spring, we ask that you confirm the address we have for you on record at the University as being the address you would like your ring sent to. You may confirm this information by sending your preferred delivery address to: Islander.Alumni@tamucc.edu . Please provide us with your confirmed address by April 15, 2020. Your ring will be sent parcel post, signature required. Please expect delivery in approximately 4-6 weeks from the time you confirm your permanent mailing address with us.
Again, please note that you can participate in a future Ring Ceremony, even if you have already received your Official Islander Ring. We will notify you via email once a Ring Ceremony date has been determined.
We know this is disappointing news, and we commiserate in that disappointment, but our first priority will always be the health and safety of our Island community. Thank you for your understanding and we will keep you updated as we work through this together.

Receive your Islander Ring in the presence of your friends, family and university dignitaries at the Islander Ring Ceremony. The bi-annual ceremony is a campus tradition for our students who have made it to their junior year. The Islander Ring symbolizes pride, achievement, and university spirit. Receiving your ring during the official Ring Ceremony signifies that you are close to becoming a distinguished member of the Islander Alumni Association. Until you graduate, you will wear your ring with the Islanders name facing toward you.
Ceremony participants will receive their ring in a beautiful keepsake box that contains a single sand dollar, an exclusive for ceremony participants. Immediately following the ceremony, students participate in the Islander Ring Wish by tossing their sand dollar into the Lee Plaza fountain.
